Day 1
Italy-Marrakech
Arrival at Marrakech airport, welcome and private transfer to the Riad in the ancient Medina. First visit to the alleys of the medina.
Day 2
Marrakech
After breakfast, guided tour in Italian of the Medina of Marrakech, an effervescent city teeming with activity. Surrounded by 19 km of walls built in 1122, the Medina of Marrakech, a world heritage site, is the name by which the entire historic center of the city is known. It is the oldest part of the city, called the old city, the souk of Marrakech offers a complete overview of all the craftsmanship of Morocco in one place: we find various artisans, dyers, basket makers and master ironsmiths and we will immerse ourselves in the strong aromas and flavors amidst history, traditions and culture. Are you ready to be transported by the smells, colors and sounds? An experience and an emotion not to be missed! The visit continues in the suggestive main square of Marrakech Djemaa El Fna and with its main attractions. Moroccan Hammam on request. Continue your visit to the wonderful Majorelle Gardens (on request) created in 1924 by Jacques Majorelle, a French painter, a large green oasis with many different plants from all over the world (palms, bamboo, cacti, pints of coconuts, exotic plants ). The estate is enriched with a further touch of blue color reminiscent of the colors of the ocean, here we can capture images of botanical art in all its splendor in our shots. Day 3
Marrakech-Ait Benhaddou–Ouarzazate–Dades Valley
We will leave Marrakech around 8:00 am towards the Dades Valley, crossing the port of Tizi-n-Tichka with panoramic mountain views and visiting the traditional Berber villages of the High Atlas, before continuing towards the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a declared Heritage Site of Humanity by UNESCO, where we will have lunch near the Kasbah, and then we will continue to Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Atlas Studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt.
Day 4
Dades Valley and Toudra-Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast, we will return through the valley to see the incredible "Monkey Fingers" rock formation and the still-standing 19th-century Ait Yul Kasbah. As you leave the Dades Valley and head towards Tineghir and the Todra Valley, you will see panoramic views of the valley's ancient Berber mud villages. Once we reach the Gorges, we will walk under a 300 meter high red cliff, where many climbers come to practice their favorite sport. We will continue our journey to the town of Touroug for lunch, then to Erfoud, Rissani and finally to Merzouga, where you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking into your accommodation.
Day 5
Merzouga–Berber families–Merzouga
After breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your exploration of the area by visiting the village of Khamlia, founded by former Sudanese slaves... to learn about their music and way of life. You can also visit the Nomad Thread building, where you will find many Berber handicrafts at lower prices than in big cities. In the afternoon, you can ride a camel with an expert camel driver to explore the sandy sea of Erg Chebbi. You will spend your first night here under the stars or, if you prefer, in a traditional Berber nomad tent.
Day 6
Merzouga–Rissani–Alnif–Nkob–Agdz–Draa Valley–Ouarzazate
After watching the sunrise in the desert and having breakfast, we will return to Merzouga aboard dromedaries and begin our journey towards Ouarzazate through the Berber villages. We will spend the night in Ouarzazate after visiting Alnif, Tazarine, Agdz and the Draa Valley.
Day 7
Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
After visiting the studios in Ouarzazate, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizni Tichka, the highest road pass in Morocco at 2260 meters, which offers spectacular views of valleys, mountains and many nearby Berber villages, and arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon .
Day 8
Marrakech–Ouzoud Waterfalls-Marrakech
We will leave Marrakech early in the morning towards the Ouzoud Waterfalls, which are located approximately 170 kilometers north-east of the city. You will see impressive 110 meter high waterfalls and a splendid panorama. Upon arrival you will be able to see spectacular waterfalls 110 meters high and a splendid landscape inhabited by birds and monkeys; If you wish, you can hire a local guide to take you on a walk or hike at an altitude of 1068 meters. We will return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
Day 9
Marrakech – Day trip to Essaouira
We will start our day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira in the morning, leaving the Riad/hotel in Marrakech and driving to Essaouira, a city on the Atlantic coast with temperatures around 20 C throughout the year. Windsurfers love the long stretch of golden sand. The port serves famous fresh-grilled seafood, and in the medina, thuja wood carvers and silver artisans work beneath the ancient Portuguese walls that protect the city from the sea. It is one of the most beautiful and walkable medinas in Morocco. We will return to Marrakech in the afternoon, and it is recommended all year round, especially in summer when it offers a welcome relief from the Marrakesh heat.
Day 10
Marrakech – Italy
Breakfast in Riad, private transfer to Marrakech airport for departure by plane to Italy. Journey time 40 minutes
